With weddings and events most weekends throughout the summer, it's been a goal of mine to take a bit of time off during the week this season. So what better way to get started than with an overnight trip to Rock Cut State Park during the first week of my son's summer break. Grandpa joined us for kayaking, fishing, hiking, and hanging out at Eagle Cabin - and absolute steal of a site on the shores of Pierce Lake.

It may not officially be summer, but it sure is here.
