I think the best way to describe David and Michael's wedding day is "Fusion". It was both steeped in tradition, and sprinkled with modern elements that when blended together formed a perfectly unique day. 

Their day started of with a serene Japanese Tea Ceremony for family inside the guesthouse at Anderson Japanese Gardens performed by Kimiko Gunji, whom David has studied tea ceremonies under for years. Afterward David & Michael donned kimonos made just for the occasion and spent some time in the gardens. Anderson Gardens is not simply a venue for them - it is a place near and dear to their hearts.

A ceremony under the pavilion made way for a rousing reception at Franchesco's where much sake was consumed and much celebrating was done.
