Prairie St. Brewhouse wedding

Bridget & Adam | Prairie St. Brewhouse

My first conversation with Bridget was a bit hectic. Due to some unfortunate circumstances Bridget and Adam had found themselves without a wedding photographer. Luckily I was still available, and we talked about what was important to her and Adam in wedding photography. As we chatted a bit over the phone, I had the feeling that my style and personality were going to be a good fit for them. Since they live in Chicago, we agreed to meet a few weeks later when they were in town.

"We're having a whole bunch of pizzas and a whole bunch of craft beer for our reception meal." exclaimed Adam when we met.

Yep, now I was completely sure. This is a match, haha.

Bridget and Adam were married at St. Peter's Cathedral - Bridget's childhood church, in a ceremony presided over by her uncle who also happens to be a Bishop. After a very personal ceremony filled with Catholic traditions in was time for a few stops around town for portraits. The stifling unseasonable heat didn't allow us to be outside for long, but this crew made the most of it for a quick stop at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens and a stroll across the temporarily closed Jefferson St. bridge.

Then it was off for that aforementioned pizza and beer and to celebrate the night away at Prairie St. Brewhouse with family and friends.  Congrats Bridget & Adam, here's a look back!

P.S. - The Fujifilm Instax camera earns 1,000,000 bonus points.
