Cookie cutters are great for making cookies, not so great for making photographs. My goal is simple - I want to document those unscripted, honest moment, feature the energy, and reveal the vibrant personalities and quirkiness that make you uniquely you .I want you to celebrate life, and I want to be there to capture it. I pride myself on capturing the magic of the day and the people between the poses, with the confidence to encourage you to live your wedding day instead of being pulled away from it for hours and hours. This kind of approach can't be faked with buzzwords. Experience matters and so I've honed my skills at over 200 weddings over the past decadein preparation for yours.
You are not a prop.
You've likely spent months planning for your wedding day. Be a part of it. Soak it in. Live it up. Refuse to be shuffled about and staged like a mannequin. Those human relationships and moments of joy encompass much of what makes your wedding day memorable. The little details that go into a wedding are great because they are a reflection of your personal touches, but you are so much more than your shoes. So I vow not to miss the laughs, tears, whispers, or embraces because I'm off spending an hour of your wedding day photographing those shoes from fourteen angles.
They may be brief, but these moments matter. And the only way to get those moments is to be there for them. Luckily for you, I can't seem to sit still for more than 30 seconds at a time. It's true...people get tired just watching me. I'm always on the move. And with my approach to photography my feet are just as important as my eyes, ensuring that I'm there as your moments unfold, and not after they've happened.
A bit about me.
I'm a dad who spends most my free time adventuring with an 8 -year-old or changing lots of diapers. (Just see my personal Instagram for proof). I can be easily swayed by good coffee and pizza of pretty much any quality. I'm easy-going and don't take myself too seriously and because of that people tend to let their guard down when they're around me. And that makes it easy for me to find the authentic person who too often gets lost behind cheesy grins and uncomfortable poses in most "typical" photo sessions.
Having photographed hundreds of weddings over the past decade, if it can happen at a wedding you can bet that I've seen it happen and I've captured amazing moments right through it. Dimly lit churches, freak rainstorms, even a sub-zero degree outdoor winter wedding after dark. I've been through it and I haven't missed a beat. There simply is no substitute for experience.
I love to photograph real people - regardless of age, race, sexual preference, religion or body type. All I ask is that you relax and be yourself.
I'll bring the camera.
Let's have some fun.
