You deserve to enjoy your wedding.
You've spent months planning for your wedding day, you deserve to be a part of it. I believe you also deserve a photographer who encourages you to enjoy your wedding day instead of forcing you to spend hours away from your family and friends, and the confidence to capture those unforced moments. Your wedding will be wonderful, and it is worth celebrating. Be there for it. Soak it all up.
Personality over poses.
You are not a prop. Luckily, I'm not the type of photographer who is going to make you pretend to put on a jacket or a dress three times just to get a pretty picture. I'd much rather capture a photo of the groom and groomsmen laughing over a beer, or that "Oh wow...you're about to be married!" look from a bridesmaid to the bride instead of a manufactured moment. I have a knack for creatively capturing the magic of the day and the people between the poses. That gives you the freedom to let your guard down so that your authentic self shines through. Be you - I'll take care of the rest.
You are more than your shoes.
Those human relationships, vibrant personalities, and heartfelt and quirky moments encompass much of what makes your wedding day memorable. The little details that go into a wedding are a reflection of your personal touches, but you are also so much more than your shoes. So while I will happily document those details for you, I vow not to miss the laughs, tears, whispers, or embraces because I'm off spending 30 minutes of your wedding day photographing those shoes from fourteen angles. In a year, or 5, or 10 those moments of humanity will be infinitely more important to you than photos of your stuff.
Having photographed hundreds of weddings, (approaching 200 at last count) if it can happen at a wedding you can bet that I've seen it happen and I've captured amazing moments right through it. Dimly lit churches, freak rainstorms, even a sub-zero degree outdoor winter wedding after dark. I've been through it and I haven't missed a beat. There simply is no substitute for experience.
